Privacy Policy

This is the privacy policy for the current Viken Data website. It explains what happens around the site in plain language: the public site is static, presents the company, studios, product pages, legal pages, download links, and Steam links, and does not run accounts, checkout, comments, or a public form database.

A small public site, with a few clear touchpoints.

This policy covers the Viken Data website and the product pages hosted on it. It also explains where a visitor may leave the site, such as downloading D.S.T., opening Steam, or sending email.

Company site

Pages about Viken Data, Viken Data Studio, Mad Camel Studio, D.S.T., Web StaticOps, Retro Puzzles, Privacy, and Terms.

Product actions

Direct software downloads and Steam wishlist links are intentional actions. They may involve the systems that serve those destinations.

Email contact

Contact is handled through email at support@vikendata.com. The website does not store submitted form records because there is no public contact form.

No account, checkout, newsletter, or comment profile.

The current site is designed to keep the public layer simple. It does not ask visitors to create a profile before reading about the company or its products.

No user accounts

The site does not create usernames, login secrets, member profiles, dashboards, or saved website sessions for visitors.

No local checkout

The site does not process card payments, store orders, collect billing details, or operate a customer purchase database.

No public form storage

There is no public website form that stores submissions in the static project. Email is the contact channel.

No advertising profile

The current static site does not need advertising cookies, remarketing tags, or visitor profiling to present the company.

A static website can still leave technical traces.

Hosting, downloads, email, and external platforms can process limited information needed to deliver pages, protect systems, respond to messages, or complete the action you chose.

Hosting logs

The hosting environment may process standard technical logs such as IP address, browser request, date and time, requested file, referring page, status code, and browser or device information.

D.S.T. download

When you download Databases Searching Tool, the download server may process access logs required to deliver the file, measure delivery, and protect the server.

Steam

When you open the Retro Puzzles Steam page, Steam controls its own store, wishlist, account, analytics, purchase, refund, and privacy processes.

Email

If you contact Viken Data, your address, message, attachments, and email metadata are processed so the company can read, manage, and answer the request.

Keep what is useful, avoid what is unnecessary.

Technical and communication data should have a practical reason to exist: page delivery, security, download delivery, correspondence, troubleshooting, or legal recordkeeping where required.

Server dataHandled by the hosting environment for delivery, diagnostics, abuse prevention, and security.
Email dataKept only as long as needed to handle the conversation, support request, business record, or legal obligation.
External dataSteam, hosting, and email providers apply their own retention, security, and account rules to their parts of the process.

You decide when to leave the public site.

You can read the public pages without creating an account. You can choose whether to download software, open Steam, or send an email. Depending on where you live and what data is involved, you may have rights to ask about access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability.

Use less data

Only include information in email that is necessary for the question, product issue, or business request.

Review external services

Before wishlisting on Steam or using another external destination, review that service's own privacy and account terms.

This site is not an account service for children.

The Viken Data site is a public company and product information site. It does not knowingly operate accounts or profiles for children. This policy should be updated before adding analytics, embedded media, forms, payments, newsletters, accounts, or any new provider that changes how visitor data is handled.
